Flood Resilience
Flood Resilience is an approach to building design that aims to reduce flood damage and speed recovery and reoccupation following a flood, typically using sustainable measures incorporated into the building fabric, fixtures and fittings. Resilience measures can also protect your property value. The GOV.UK flood risk and coastal change guidance covers resilience requirements within the planning process.

Case Example
For a riverside shop, we might recommend stone floors and water-resistant wall-coatings. After a flood, the owner can simply hose the silt out and reopen for business within days.
Design for recovery. Rida Reports specifies resilience measures in your Flood Risk Assessment.
