Sequential Test
The Sequential Test ensures that a sequential approach is followed to steer new development to areas with the lowest probability of flooding (Flood Zone 1). Review the vulnerability classification to understand where your proposed use is permitted. Full Sequential Test requirements are set out in the GOV.UK flood zone assessment guidance.

Case Example
Before a council approves a house in a flood zone, they will check if there are any other available plots in the town that are at a lower risk of flooding.
Pass the Sequential Test. Rida Reports provides the FRA evidence needed.
