Reservoir
A Reservoir is a large natural or artificial lake, often created by a dam, used to store water for supply or to manage flood levels by capturing excess runoff. Speak with a consultant if your site lies within a reservoir inundation zone. Reservoir safety and regulation requirements are set out on GOV.UK reservoirs safety and regulation.

Case Example
A development located within a reservoir inundation zone must include an emergency plan, as mapping shows it could be flooded if the upstream reservoir were to fail.
Check reservoir risk. Rida Reports includes inundation mapping in your FRA.
